Unique Student Identifier (USI)

A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required for all students undertaking nationally recognised training.
You musthave a USI in order to receive a Statement of Attainment or qualification.

What is a USI?

A USI is a reference number that links to your nationally recognised training records and qualifications completed in Australia.

How to Get a USI

Option 1: Apply for Your Own USI (Recommended)

You can apply for your USI online at: www.usi.gov.au

This is a free and secure process and only takes a few minutes.

Option 2: Assistance from Red Earth Training Solutions

If you are unable to apply online, Red Earth Training Solutions can assist you to apply prior to the commencement of training:

• Arrange this with our office staff in advance
• Bring acceptable identification (such as a Driver’s Licence, Passport, Medicare Card or Birth Certificate); and
• Complete a RETS USI Privacy Notice and Consent Form

Important Information

• A USI is required before certification can be issued
• Red Earth Training Solutions cannot issue a Statement of Attainment without a valid USI
• You are responsible for keeping your USI secure and up to date
