Yes. Most courses are delivered in small group settings to maximise participation and hands-on learning.

Group sizes vary depending on the course, regulatory requirements and available resources.

Requirements vary depending on the course.

Participants may be required to bring:

  • Valid photo identification
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • A Unique Student Identifier (USI) for accredited training
  • A laptop or device (for some courses)

Specific requirements will be confirmed prior to course commencement.

Some courses require participants to be 18 years of age or older.

This is not a regulatory requirement, but an RTO requirement based on our risk management practices, insurance conditions and duty of care obligations particularly where training involves plant operation, high-risk activities, or workplace-based assessment.

Age requirements are outlined on individual course pages.

Before commencing training, you should:

  • Review the course information and entry requirements
  • Ensure you meet any pre-requisites
  • Read the RETS Participant Handbook, which outlines important information including policies and procedures, learner rights and responsibilities, refunds, complaints and appeals, and support and referral services

You can request a replacement by contacting Red Earth Training Solutions.

Replacement fees may apply, and identity verification is required before documents can be reissued.

Some courses may be eligible for Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) funding.

CITB funding:

  • Is subject to eligibility and approval by CITB
  • Is not guaranteed
  • May be subject to annual caps and changing conditions

To confirm eligibility, contact CITB on (08) 8172 9500 or visit their website www.citb.org.au

No.

Red Earth Training Solutions delivers:

  • Nationally recognised training and assessment, which leads to a Statement of Attainment; and
  • Non-accredited training, such as Short Term Low Impact (STLI) and short workplace safety courses

Non-accredited training does not result in a nationally recognised qualification.

Each course page clearly identifies whether the training is accredited or non-accredited.

Red Earth Training Solutions is committed to supporting learners to engage effectively in their training and assessment.

Support may include:

  • Reasonable adjustments to assessment methods where appropriate (for example, oral questioning instead of written responses)
  • Referral to external language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) support services where additional assistance is required

If you have any concerns about your ability to participate or complete assessment requirements, please advise our staff at the first point of contact so appropriate options or referrals can be discussed.

A Verification of Competency (VOC) is an industry-recognised assessment process used by employers to verify a worker’s current competency to safely operate specific plant or equipment.

VOC:

  • Is not training
  • Does not issue a qualification or licence
  • Confirms competency at the time of assessment only

The validity period of a VOC is determined by the employer or site requirements.

Where applicable:

  • Statements of Attainment are issued by Red Earth Training Solutions
  • Licences or regulatory cards (such as High Risk Work Licences or Temporary Traffic Management Cards) are issued by the relevant regulator, subject to successful assessment and regulatory requirements

You can contact our team for assistance with:

  • Course enquiries and enrolments
  • Fees and funding
  • Support services
  • Complaints or appeals
