Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Overview

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that assesses a participant’s competency, acquired through formal and informal learning, to determine if they meet the requirements for a unit of study.

Current WZTM cardholders working on category 1-3 roads have 18 months, from 1st February 2024 until 1st August 2025 to apply for recognition of prior learning.

Guidelines & Limitations

Temporary Traffic Management participants must provide evidence that they have the skills and knowledge required for units listed for each skill set.  The RPL process is a holistic approach; if applicants cannot demonstrate competency in all requirements, they must complete the full course.
