Temporary Traffic Management

Training and assessment for civil, mining and construction

Since the 1st of February 2024, the training you require to work in a temporary traffic management role has changed.

There are now three job roles and eight new national TTM training courses.  Each course is designed around the 3 road categories.

Category 1 – Urban Streets & Low Volume Rural Roads
Category 2 – High Volume Roads
Category 3 – Motorways & Freeways

Therefore, depending on your job role and the road category you are working on, you will need to complete the relevant training program.

Current Courses

Language, Literacy, Numeracy & Digital Skills Requirements

All participants are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND) assessment prior to enrolment.

This assessment is designed to ensure that all participants have the necessary skills to fully engage with the course content and assessment requirements. It is not intended to create barriers, but rather to support participants by identifying any areas where additional assistance may be needed, helping to set everyone up for success.

If you have any concerns regarding literacy or numeracy, our staff can provide guidance and access to support services at no additional cost. Our goal is to ensure that all participants are confident and capable of safely and effectively completing their training.

Support & Accessibility

Red Earth Training Solutions is committed to helping all participants engage fully with their training. We recognise that participants may require guidance and support for a range of reasons, including health, wellness, financial or other personal circumstances.

Our staff can provide information and referrals to appropriate external support services to help participants manage these challenges while pursuing their training goals.

For a full list of support and referral services, participants should refer to the RETS Participant Handbook or speak with our team.
