Quick Cut Saw Non Accredited Course

This is non-accredited training and does not result in a nationally recognised unit of competency or Statement of Attainment.

This short course provides participants with practical instruction in the safe operation and basic maintenance of a quick cut saw. It is designed to support existing workers who are required to use a quick cut saw as part of their job role.

A $100 deposit is required upon booking to secure a course place. The remaining balance is payable on the first day of the course, unless otherwise specified.

You may be eligible for subsidised training through the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). Call CITB on (08) 8172 9500 or visit their website www.citb.org.au to check your eligibility.

CITB subsidy is subject to eligibility and CITB approval. Subsidy amounts and conditions may change and annual caps may apply. Please confirm your eligibility with CITB before enrolling.

Additional Costs

Additional fees may apply for travel, accommodation and critical resource requirements for regional or workplace-based delivery.
Where applicable, a written quote will be provided prior to enrolment confirmation.

What You’ll Learn

  • Safe operation of a quick cut saw in a workplace environment
  • Identifying hazards associated with quick cut saw use and implementing appropriate control measures
  • Preparing the work area, including setting up exclusion zones
  • Selecting and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Conducting routine pre-start, start-up and shut-down checks
  • Operating the quick cut saw in accordance with workplace procedures and manufacturer guidelines
  • Performing basic post-operation checks, maintenance and housekeeping tasks
  • Working safely in line with site-specific policies, procedures and WHS requirements

Course Outcome

Upon successful completion, participants will receive:

  • Certificate of Attendance issued by Red Earth Training Solutions

This training:

  • Is non-accredited
  • Does not issue a Statement of Attainment
  • Does not result in a licence or regulatory certification

Entry Requirements

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be able to read, write, speak and understand English at a level sufficient to follow safety instructions
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the workplace and task
  • Follow all site safety rules and supervisor instructions

Language, Literacy, Numeracy & Digital Skills Requirements

All participants are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND) assessment prior to enrolment.

This assessment is designed to ensure that all participants have the necessary skills to fully engage with the course content and assessment requirements. It is not intended to create barriers, but rather to support participants by identifying any areas where additional assistance may be needed, helping to set everyone up for success.

If you have any concerns regarding literacy or numeracy, our staff can provide guidance and access to support services at no additional cost. Our goal is to ensure that all participants are confident and capable of safely and effectively completing their training.
